Like you, community relations and business consultant Josie Hirsch has seen the word ‘community’ defined numerous ways in her career. Is it church and school or business community? Is it those we spend our day with Saturday or our next door neighbors? Is it inclusive? Is it all about the situation and/or need? Is it meant only for the chosen few who embrace our beliefs? Or, is there a mission-centric concept?
With almost three decades of community service, organizational planning, and most importantly, real-life, in-the-trenches business experience, Josie Hirsch’s view is radically different. She appreciates, and shares with clients, that community is a moment-to-moment choice and not about title, geography or belief. Community is everyone, everyday, all around us. It's how we share our life with others.
Josie, sometimes referred to as the “Great Enabler” by her peers for her ability to bring others ideas to life, is known for her financially conservative, practical style; Josie's fusion of real-life stories and her unique techniques connect with her clients at an intimate, intense and individual level.
Josie had served as a Chief of Staff with the U.S. based Providian Financial. She is a consultant to several service oriented non-profit and for profit corporations, and continues to work with the best and brightest her community. She is currently serving on the City of Simi Valley Budget Advisory Committee.
Her successes include: Providian Financial, Georgia Pacific, Blue Cross of California, Prudential Insurance, and Pasqua Coffee, to name a few.
