Bob Alviani, a retired bank president, spent 42 years in the banking industry. Bob retired from First Bank in 2014.
Bob and his wife, Sara, have resided in Ventura since 1975.While with First Bank he held a number of assignments, including area manager, which oversaw 12 branches, investments, commercial lending and facilities management. Receiving a degree in law in 1989, Bob had also served 17 years on the Ventura Housing Authority Board and 10 years on the Ventura Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
In addition to the VCTA board, Bob is a member of the City of Ventura Investment Committee. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the Ventura and Santa Barbara Colleges of Law and is currently Treasurer of the National Police Dog Foundation.
Starting in 2006, Bob is founder of Venturans for Responsible and Efficient Government (VREG), a taxpayer watchdog group in the city of Ventura.
